Qualifications

Helicopter Applicators Incorporated (HAI) upholds its reputation by necessitating proper and thorough training in all areas of work as well as upholding the highest safety requirements and standards. Each employee must be knowledgeable of the latest advancements, all pilots must continuously maintain licensing requirements, all aircraft adhere to the strictest of FAA requirements, and all support vehicles must comply with all DOT requirements.

  • REMOTE SENSING

²     frequent conferences and training courses are attended and continuous research is conducted

²     there are three Level 1 Certified Thermographers operating the infrared system. Level 1 certification was garnered through the FLIR Infrared Training Center in Boston

²     the operators underwent months of training regarding the operation of ALL systems and software.

²     one of the operators has been schooled in remote sensing, and another with a background in media production 

  • PILOTS

²     must attend Factory Bell School once a year. This training is held at Helicopter Applicators and is performed in HAI aircraft

²     all acquired commercial pilot licenses and hold applicator licenses for the states in which they fly.

²     depending on PIC (pilot in command) time, some of the pilots get type certificated for 135 operations, the others operate under part 91 

  • SUPPORT EQUIPMENT/DRIVERS

²     well maintained and under strict regulations to comply with DOT requirements.

²     Each driver holds a Certified Drivers Licence (CDL) - Hazmat and tanker license

²     Drivers must also maintain licensing requirements to hold technician licenses for each state in which they work

²     undergo random drug and alcohol testing

HAI will continue to uphold the utmost safety requirements to preserve the highest standards and necessary precautions and training to remain thorough and operable with the changing times and technical advancements.
